Wren Close Playground (Cow Playground), Nunawading VIC

Known locally as Moo Cow Park, this neighbourhood playground was installed in 2013 in collaborate with Whitehorse City Council and continues to be a well used and highly recognisable play destination.

The centrepiece is the Lappset Cow’s Play multi activity structure, which combines slides, ramps, inclined walkways, tunnels, curved rope ladder and scrambling wall into a compact themed play unit designed to support climbing, crawling, balance and imaginative play.

Play towers such as this work effectively as stand alone installations in smaller sites, delivering high play value within a limited footprint. They support physical challenge, creative role play and social interaction, allowing children to test their abilities, set their own goals and engage in friendly competition as they move through each section of the structure.

The wider playground includes a separate climbing frame with multiple ladder types, a Rumba balancing element, monkey bars and a double swing frame, providing a mix of upper body, balance and gross motor challenges within a compact community park.
