Following the sustained use of the Lappset Memo at Macleod Village Green, Banyule City Council selected a second interactive play solution for Watsonia Town Square. Delivered in collaboration with Banyule City Council and GroupGSA, the Sona Interactive Dance and Play Arch forms part of the new civic space funded through the North East Link project.
Sona uses motion-sensing technology to activate a range of dance, play, cognitive and fitness-based games. It supports group participation across different ages and abilities, with new games and software updates available through its online platform.
With no elevated platforms or fall zones, Sona requires minimal space without conventional playground surfacing. Its open, wheelchair-accessible design supports inclusive, multigenerational play in a durable format suited to high-use public spaces.
