The Apex Park All Abilities Adventure Playground at Cohuna was delivered in partnership with Gannawarra Shire Council and landscape architect Justin Staggard as part of the $3.4 million Cohuna CBD and Waterfront Connections project, supported by the State Government’s Building Works package.
Central to the site is Lappset’s Magic Mountain Tower, a six-metre landmark structure manufactured from Nordic pine. Designed as both a control centre and watchtower, the tower challenges users to climb through multiple chambers by a variety of routes before descending via a dramatic tube slide. The modular design provides high play value for children of all abilities and encourages active, imaginative, and social play.
The playground celebrates the town’s strong links to Gunbower Creek and its agricultural heritage while providing an inclusive destination for families of all abilities.
